Corsair Graphite 490T bullet by thechoozen
Project Log: Here
Whenever we start following one of thechoozen's new projects, we're pretty much guaranteed some serious eye candy. We've also managed to find one mid-way through construction too - thechoozen often churns projects out so quickly that we often only see the finished articles in our competition pages.
The subject this time is a Corsair Graphite 490T, which has been stripped down and dismantled ready for painting. Interestingly, thechoozen plans to reduce the height of the case by 11cm, making it a comfy home for a mini-ITX system.
Above we can see one of the components that's gone through the height-reduction process, and on the right we get a great view of the custom PSU shroud fitted into the case to give the interior a sleeker look.
It's not just a case of lopping a few centimetres off the top of the case; plenty of sanding and grinding was needed to ensure that everything fitted and that the paint finish was smooth. We've also spotted a funky-looking custom-made reservoir for the cooling system - we'd expect nothing less given the hordes of custom acrylic water-cooling components we've seen come out of the thechoozen's workshop over the years.
Finally, we get to see the application of a gorgeous shade of orange paint, along with a stunning spray painted Mario-style bullet on the side panel. Corsair Graphite 490T bullet is shaping up brilliantly so make sure you check it out in our forum.
